  3.         This echo is for civilized, mature discussion.  Personal
  4.         attacks and vilification have no place here.

  8.     o modems             o terminal emulation & BBS software
  9.     o fax machines       o telephone equipment & services
  10.     o comm s/w & protocols
  11.  
  12. Rules, policy, style, etc.
  13. nothing below shall dilute Fidonet policy-
  14.     o All discussions regarding hardware/software shall be of a
  15.       technical nature only.  No "My-Widget-Can-Beat-Your-Widget" msgs.
  16.       Departures from this shall be considered annoying behavior.
  17.     o speak politely-no flames or obscenities; do *not* quote filth
  18.     o quote only that which ties to your reply--stop QUOTAHOLISM
  19.     o advertising: only topic related announcement allowed
  20.     o submit all announcements of products/services to the moderator
  21.     o don't attempt sales or to arrange 'deals' in the echo
  22.     o if your "From: " is an alias, include your real name in the msg.
  23.       This may be waived at the discretion of the moderator if there
  24.       is a compelling explanation sent via netmail.
  25.     o don't request routine FidoNet info here, ask your Sysop/local net
  26.     o no unsolicited BBS ads
  27.     o the posting of "test" msgs is considered annoying behavior
  28.     o don't reply to inappropriate messages, leave it to the moderator
  29.     o chatting: move non topical communications talk to netmail
  30.     o limit announcements to one per fortnight
  31.     o use netmail for corresponding to the moderator; don't moderate
  32.     o please use standard english, exc: recognized Intn'l phrases
  33.     o don't type in all upper case unless your equipment can't do lower
  34.     o don't use multi-line signatures
  35.     o no high-order ASCII characters-(>128) or ASCII CTRL codes
  36.     o telephone numbers: don't forget the country and area code
  37.     o propose changes to the above by Netmail to: Bob R. (1:154/40)

  40. echo, without regard to his status as Moderator.  When he is acting
